Located just south of Page, Arizona USA is the ever amazing Horseshoe Bend where you can witness the bending of the Colorado River. It's the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset. Occasionally you will spot boats on the shore below (there is one in this image), and it puts into perspective just how tiny we are in this world.

What a marvelous scenic scape Darlene! Congrats on your feature in ABC Group River! In the old 35 mm. days you might have used a cross star filter to get your sunset effect, and I'm wondering what you did in your capture to have that star burst effect...it's all done so well! I particularly like how you got two types of skies here, with clouds and blue reflecting a sunny day, and the sunset and its colors in the other, horizon sky! Splendid panorama I think is sure to sell for you! v/fave/ twt @ArtsyBoomer_TX Pamela Artography
Darlene Smith replied:
Thanks so much Pamela! I get that star burst effect by using a smaller aperature. I usually use between f/16 - f/22. A lot has to do with the particular lens as well. Some lenses put out better sunstars than others. This was shot with a canon 16-35mm f/2.8 lens.
